Yes

2. Community / Colleague Outreach

Transfer

How are you sharing your research experience with your colleagues, district, community, etc? In my classroom and with other groups of students in my school: We have open-ended, student driven slide show discussion sessions with digital pictures provided from my field time. We have used many of the TEA activities posted on the web site and many of the related activities passed on by other TEAs. My students have been guinea pigs as I have developed my curriculum components for the TEA program based on my own field research experience. We have read and used the journal entries of myself and other teachers as resource materials on projects. We have examined SCUBA gear and all the physics that drive its functions. With the local Girl Scout Council: I have lead TEA generated activities at the annual Women of Math and Science day. We are developing an older girl event based on polar research to be held at the local science museum.
