You couldn't ask for a better day!

Today, the helicopter or helo as it is called on board, was sent out several times to check for ridge lines and multi-year ice. This was to help set up an ice field mooring investigation, as well as to find a suitable place to test some engineering aspects of the Healy's propulsion systems. My report today is simply some fantastic images taken while I was onboard one of the flights. Unfortunately, I did not see a polar bear like an earlier flight. Nonetheless, the beauty of this arctic day was unbelievable. We had clear skies, light winds, and very comfortable air temperatures.
