Teachers "Fluxing" Their Muscles
The newly-formed "Poker Flat Gang" suddenly realized that Tuesday's measurements on the lake were only the beginning of the Heat Flux story! Yesterday they put their heads (and calculators) together in order to determine snow mass, snow volume, and snow density. From the density values they were able to calculate thermal conductivities (the ability of the snow to conduct heat) as well as the heat fluxes. Refer to my 1999-2000 journal entries in order to determine how to calclate fluxes.
